Are you currently working out of a shoe box, with no real system at all?

Even if you have NO CURRENT SYSTEM AT ALL, I can help you.  I love the challenge of taking the "shoe box" and turning it into a simple, easy to manage system, that you will be able to continue with ever after.  It does not even have to involve a computer.

◊ What would you need for manual system?
  • Income & Expenditure Books, money column books
  • Display Books, for keeping financial records, bank & reconciliation statements, employee & taxation records, receipts etc
  • Filing Tub, with suspension files and manilla folders.

Now this isn't too invasive, but with these simple tools and my organisation skills we can have your bookwork/office ship shape in no time.


Do you have QUICKBOOKS but don't have the time to make your entries?
Not sure how to get it started?

You do not have to have the most up to date version for efficient recording of your finances.  As long as the system you are using is receiving all the relevant entries it will provide you will all the information you need to satisfy your legal requirements. So if it has been sitting for a while, all is not lost.  I have worked with people who have had years of entries to catch up on.  Some systems may not be set up as efficiently as they could be, this can be rectified simply to reflect all your current requirements.

  QUICKBOOKS is the only accounting system I have experience with in recent years, therefore I prefer to continue with what I know.  I am also happy to establish a manual paper system if required.

Hours of work?

I began doing bookwork on an hourly basis as it was something I could achieve in a nominated number of hours per day/week whilst my son is at school, I work between 9.30am and 2.30pm generally, allowing time to care for my family when they need me.

◊ Available Hours?
  • Min 2 hour blocks, may be per day, per week, per month
  • Max 5 hours per day*, may be per week, per fortnight, per month

Hours can be set up as a regular ongoing schedule, or for a limited time (just to get you organised to continue on your own).  Bookwork being dropped off and collected can be scheduled into "other" hours, as discussed.

*Initial setup may require more hours up front (if you prefer), but can then settle into a weekly, fortnightly or monthly routine.

Previous History/Experience?

I have worked in various industries, always dealing with figures.  Spending 8 years in the Transport Industry, where among other things dealt with the payroll and accounting for 8 staff.  Also worked in the Banking Industry for 3.5 years before the birth of my son, and in  more recent years doing administration and accounting in the Fiberglass Industry and bookwork for members of the Building Industry.
